About the event

AFSANA for every woman has a story to tell... As the Taliban bans women from singing or speaking in public in Afghanistan, here in America and in our Sew & Sing program is a group of women who will share their stories. Memories, some sweet, some sad. And their American brothers and sisters will proudly wear the dress they are sewing.  As one participant said, A woman's strength is forged through fire. Through each challenge, she will learn and grow. And she will then change the world to be a better place.

This event will also present a few other inspiring Speakers from diverse Asian backgrounds. Recounting their personal experiences, they will speak of the narratives they are writing. They are Living the American Life, Freely and Fully.
